Situated within the prestigious Pinner Hill conservation area, renowned for its architectural significance and historical charm, this project presents a unique opportunity to design a replacement building for an existing Arts & Crafts style house.

From the outset, we approached the project with careful consideration and attention to detail. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and architectural context, we explored multiple design options to ensure that the new building would seamlessly integrate with its surroundings while meeting the functional needs of the client.

Ultimately, our design approach centered on preserving the distinctive characteristics of the existing house, paying homage to its arts & crafts heritage. As a result, the final design retains much of the original charm and character of the house while introducing subtle enhancements and extending the structure to the rear. This careful balance between preservation and innovation ensures that the new building not only respects the heritage of the conservation area but also provides a contemporary living space that meets the demands of modern life.
